 140. DATED 1882 PISTOL FLASK. 11.75ins long. Variating shiny brown Rockingham type glaze formed as a flintlock pistol with usual detailing. Importantly impressed one side of barrel WILLIAM. COWIE. 1882. A rare pistol. Repaired flintlock & trigger. (7/10) NR £40-60+
9.8ins tall. An extraordinary Reform style flask, in red earthenware clay, the top half modelled as Queen Victoria,
orb in hands, the lower section a stylish spherical shape.The entire flask featuring sgraffito detailing with yellow slip like additional work, all covered in a clear glaze. Some minor overall wear ( a few of the applied ‘dots’ missing), but generally sound. A significant Queen Victoria piece. (8.5/10) £700-800+
