Conquer 2020 with the best money-making ideas in the industry! Golf course owners and operators presented their proven money-savings and revenue- generating ideas at The Great Canadian Idea Share, which is one of the most highly regarded and beneficial components of the annual Golf Business Canada Conference & Trade Show.
Delegates voted for their favourite revenue boosting or expense management idea and it is our pleasure to present the four winning ideas in Golf Business Canada magazine over the next year.
Our 1st Place Winner, Brian Schaal, Copper Point Golf Club, was given an opportunity to choose the Kubota tractor, mower, or utility vehicle of his choice, which will be theirs for one full season. Tee-On provided the top four winners with a generous $500 cash prize!

         FINALIST Idea
We wanted to create a memorable event for women golfers to come for a day and celebrate the game in a comfortable and non-intimidating way. With this in mind, we developed the women’s golf expo, featuring various events in the clubhouse, range, putting green, and on course. Women had the option to purchase tickets for Expo Only, Expo with VIP instruction clinics, or Expo with a 9 hole shotgun.
We sold vendor space in the clubhouse, including jewellery, spas, gyms, home decorating, women’s apparel, women’s equipment, and food & beverage. We set up a runway with the main stage on one end of the room and a secondary stage on the other end of the room.
Throughout the day we had various speakers on each stage ranging from Lisa Longball as our opening keynote, as well as a life coach, mobility stretching expert, Female PGA Professionals talking about the swing, and prominent

corporate women who use golf for business purposes.
On the driving range, we had a women-only golf club demo day with 4 manufacturers as well as a massage therapist. On the putting greens, we had putting clinics on the hour. We also had our food and beverage suppliers offer food and drink samples at various locations through the property.
Our main event was an Adidas fashion show followed by an exclusive sale in the proshop. To create a better shopping experience, we removed all the men’s clothing and ordered extra ladies wear and filled the shop as a women’s only golf store for the day.
The turnout was great! We had 175 women attend. We sold over $4,000 in ladies clothing and shoes, and created over $14,000 in revenue from the ticket, vendor, and food and beverage sales. We are already plan- ning next year to be bigger and better!
