Golfmax. The NGCOA Canada and Canadian Golf Superintendents Association (CGSA) announced a new partnership in September specific to Golfmax. The CGSA and NGCOA Canada are working together to present a single Golfmax Purchasing Program to the Canadian golf industry that is delivering increased value to both memberships for turf and golf course operation supplier needs.
The CGSA membership manages turf and maintenance budgets that exceed $500 million annually. With the CGSA’s full endorsement of the Golfmax Purchasing Program, program awareness, negotiating power, and program utilization are growing. The partnership with the CGSA is already triggering negotiations with new Golfmax Supplier partners, and will strengthen existing programs as agreements with suppliers are renewed.
Historically, NGCOA Canada has focused on creating Golfmax Programs that serve our members’ businesses. This will continue to be the primary mandate for Golfmax. A secondary mandate, and relatively new focus, will be to develop new programs that serve the individual owner, and their key staff team. The initial focus will be on the travel and leisure sector. With golf being a seasonal business for most of Canada, the NGCOA Canada aims to create programs that can deliver savings to members during the offseason.
