It sounds very utopian, but
business owners, including those in the golf industry, suggest that the road to hell is paved with good intentions, as the saying goes, and there may be more on ramps connecting to the main road as more provinces take Alberta’s and Ontario’s lead on a $15 an hour minimum wage.

“We are committed to support- ing our low-wage Albertans, people who are working full-time jobs and are still not able to make ends meet,” said Alberta Labour Minister Christina Gray when that province announced last year that the minimum wage would rise to $15 from $11.20 an hour by next year.
Is it
Alberta’s minimum wage rose by $1 to $12.20 last October and will go up again this fall by $1.40 before settling at $15 in 2018. In Ontario, it will go from the current $11.40 to $14 on January 1, 2018 to $15 in 2019.
