As I write this article it is the last week of January, and compared to the last few years, winter has not felt all that bad. Let’s hope this is a sign that spring will greet us early and that we will be blessed with a summer of sunshine, moderate heat, and just enough rain at night to minimize our water usage and keep the course looking green.
As you make your decisions for the 2016 season, I encourage you to look at the resources and programs available through your NGCOA Canada membership – some of which you can read about in the pages that follow.
As an Association whose mandate is to help support your business needs, we are constantly innovating and creating programs or partnerships that are intended to support you. Hopefully, you are making good use of your NGCOA Canada membership. Here are three new programs that we recently launched:
Golf Datatech Retail Reports: Already offered in Europe and the US for the past 20 years, this valuable monthly data will now be available in Canada in 2016. Find out which men’s and women’s shirts, bottoms, jackets, shoes, and gloves are the bestsellers and what the average sale price is. Not sure which clubs to keep in inventory? This new report will tell you what brand is the bestseller and what the average price is.
Golf Operators Association Marketing Suite: Our partnership with Legendary Marketing/Golf Operators Association provides NGCOA Canada members access to a full suite of marketing tools with thousands of ‘ready-to-go’ marketing materials. It is an easy and affordable way to amp up your marketing in 2016.

golfsocial: In partnership with Integram Marketing Group and Golf Canada, this Facebook platform provides seamless content for your Facebook page helping to grow your community. The posts look like they are coming from you but its Integram’s team that is doing all the work. It’s seamless and effortless on your part....just sit back and watch the ‘likes’ and ‘shares’ grow.
The list continues! There’s the Golfmax Purchasing Program, Take A Kid To The Course, Kids Play Golf, and Get Golf Ready to help save you money and get golfers to your course.
Did you know that we own and manage the Moncton, Quebec City, Montreal, Ottawa-Gatineau, and Winnipeg GolfExpos? We also sponsor the Vancouver and Toronto Golf Shows. Our involvement in these Shows helps promote your course to thousands of golfers.
In addition, four of our eight chapters have coupon/value added books that we have recently taken online to expand the distribution to potential golfers. I have only scratched the surface of the business tools the NGCOA Canada provides you with. I have not even mentioned the education and networking opportunities....but that’s for another article.
