Eagles Chance is a nine- hole Par-3 golf course, driving range, and golf academy where junior golfers, families, and female golfers are the primary focus. My goal as a teaching professional is to grow and sustain the game of golf in our community by teaching in a fun and relaxed environment.
I joined the PGA of Canada in 2013 with the intention of becoming a teaching professional. At that time I was working 9 to 5 doing online marketing, and spent my evenings and weekends teaching until the sun set. I quickly realized that there was a very high interest in learning to play golf in the Pictou County area. There was an especially high interest within the 65 years and older niche. This still holds true regarding private lessons; close to 90% of my lessons are with retired people, or people about to retire.
Prior to 2013, I spent a couple years pursuing my dream of playing on the PGA tour. Having a young family made it difficult financially and mentally to make my dream a reality. In 2013, I decided it was time to put my PGA tour dream on hold and focus on my local opportunities. That is when I started my first junior golf program at Eagles Chance.
