  CHAIR’S LETTER
Rick Dorsey
“June is bustin’ out all over! All over the meadow and the hill....*” We start the month with our SOLD OUT Golf Tournament. That’s right, our second largest fund raiser of the year is sold out, along with many of the sponsorships, but you can still participate. Again, this year, we are raffling off a Traeger Smoker with many accessories including a “Project Smoke” cookbook. Contact the Chamber Office to purchase your tickets.
Later in the month, we will have our Membership Meeting on June 16 and our Business after Hours on the 17th at the Knights of Columbus grounds. We will also be conducting a membership drive on June 25. We appreciate each and every one of our members, but we are always wanting to welcome more businesses into the Chamber. Encourage someone you know to join. Our members are our best advertising.
Coming up on August 5 is our Scholarship Bowl. All of the proceeds go to our annual scholarship fund. In the years, since its inception, we have given out nearly 100 scholarships to North County students. Get your team together and come have some fun. If you can’t attend sponsorships are available.
In case you haven’t heard, our President Venus Martz and the Chamber is being honored at North County Incorporated’s Annual Breakfast with one of their Business Development Leadership Awards. The Breakfast will be held on Sept. 17 at the Marriott St. Louis Airport Hotel. Call NCI if you would like to join in the celebration. This event has routinely sold out, in the past, so get your tickets early.
As always, we can use your help. Please join one of our committees. Your opinion counts, but only if it is heard. More later,
Rick
