Child Bishops
January 2019
Child Bishops were chosen for upper and lower school in December in honor of St. Nicholas Day. Students chosen exemplify the character traits of St. Nicholas such as kindness and giving. Zachary West was chosen from fourth grade for this honor and the eighth-grader chosen was Aana Shenai. Part of their duties was to light the Advent candles at the Lessons and Carols services. Bishop Breidenthal joined Bethany School to install these Bishops.
Third Grade Learns About Underground Railroad
Third graders spent some time learning about the Underground Railroad and the slave trade. They learned what it was like to travel on a slave ship, what the shackles were like, and how people managed to escape to freedom.
