The Why Behind
Patient Care
The growth of NRMC’s hospital
and clinics tells a story of vision, commitment, and resilience over
the past 10 years. It’s the people of NRMC – the Physicians, Associates,
and Volunteers – who make NRMC the outstanding health system it is. While everyone has a reason as to why they entered the healthcare field and why they chose to work at NRMC, they also have very personal reasons for being so passionate about their work.
For some, it may be the care they received when delivering their own babies. Others have memories of lifesaving care in the ER or learning they are not alone on a cancer journey. Still others are passionate about ensuring patient safety, serving as a mentor to the next generation, or bringing innovation to our campuses.
Whatever the why’s, one thing is certain: everyone is centered on creating
an amazing patient experience and improving the health and well-being of the people in our parish. The challenges of the pandemic, Hurricane Laura, and ice storms brought our team even closer together, and we are confident in our abilities to care for our great community through thick and thin, just as we have done this past decade and will do for decades to come.

“Hospitalists care for seriously ill, hospitalized patients 24 hours a day, on weekends and holidays. They focus on quality of care and serve as a critical information bridge between patients, their physicians and the hospital staff,” Dawna Deblieux, Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner.
