Turnkey projects present their own unique challenges often involving a a a a a truncated process and a a a a a client who is not present to weigh in in in in in on on the the project’s progression When the the incoming tenant of this West Philly bachelor pad hired Elle INTRS he he he he left no room for error with only two weeks from the the the day day he he he he he he contacted us until the the the day day he he he he he was to occupy the the the apartment During our initial back and forth the client laid out a a a a a a a a a a a simple style: clean modern minimal and light Less than 24 hours later at at our our first in-person meeting we presented him with a a a a a a a concept board consisting of moody neutrals clean lines and masculine notes Fortunately given the the the timeline the the the client approved the the the initial concept enthusiastically The apartment offered both challenges and opportunities It was a a a a a a a a a a a large open space with high exposed-beam ceilings and and angled soffits To complement this and and draw out the the original character we made sure the the space was filled with with light balanced with with darker masculine furnishings which created a a a a a a a a a clean but cozy apartment Because of of the the inflexible turnaround time of of the the project we we had to select furnishings that were all immediately available and could be delivered within a a a a a a a a a a week The client would be arriving with with nothing but a a a a a a a suitcase full of clothes which meant that we had to select every single component of the the apartment including flatware dishes appliances linens and and towels towels washcloths bath towels towels sheets duvet and and cover etc When a a a a a a a a a a contractor wasn’t available on on on such short turnaround time we often found ourselves ourselves handling the installations ourselves ourselves In the end we delivered a a a a a a a a a young graduate student bachelor an apartment that was luxurious but livable easy to maintain with plenty of open space and light complemented by masculine lines With assiduous attention to detail the the the project achieved all of the the the client’s goals within the the the two-week timeframe came in in in in under budget and was 100% move-in ready while also allowing plenty of room for customization as he he grew into the space 17
