With the Fourth of July falling on a Tuesday this year, we can expect a span of celebrating days, beginning with the weekend. As always, suppliers are lining up special promotions, packaging and cocktails.

Among the perennial fundraising propositions, the Evan Williams program has special bottles featuring six new American heroes and their inspiring stories. RumChata’s limited-edition bottle bene ts the Lone Survivor Foundation, supporting wounded service members and their families. For the fth year, Ban Wine is donating $1 from every bottle of Riunite Lambrusco sold between Memorial Day and July 4 to the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS). Veteran-owned Heroes Vodka has created a “canteen” cup for their fund-raising American Mule cocktail. Budweiser’s camou age aluminum bottles bene t Folds of Honor for the sixth consecutive year.

Dressing products up in red, white and blue is practically an American tradition unto itself. As in past summers, Svedka is “big” on the Fourth, releasing a new stars-and- stripes design on a 1.5L bottle. Burnett’s is another vodka adding to the visual holiday
spirit with a special edition bottle; and American Harvest is offering merchants limited-edition red/white/blue choices in understated packaging. Stella Rosa is dressing their low-alcohol, sweet red and white blends, Black and Platinum, in patriotic paper sleeves.

2 oz Van Gogh Açaí- Blueberry Vodka 4 oz Pink Lemonade
Pour into a rocks glass with ice and stir brie y. Garnish with oating blue- berries.

2 parts Svedka Vodka 1/2 part Orange Curaçao 1/2 part Simple Syrup
1 part fresh Lime Juice Dash Grenadine
Combine ingredients in a pitcher and top with ice. Garnish with blackberries and mint.

11/2 oz Plantation ‘3 Stars’ Rum
1/2 oz Maraschino Blend 3/4 oz Grapefruit Juice
1/4 oz Lime Juice
1 bar spoon Simple Syrup
Shake and strain into coupe glass. Garnish with
