HOW TO USE THIS GUIDE
1. Locate the town you require in the alphabetical list of towns serviced from Sydney that begins after the Fourth Divider Card. If that town is not listed, locate the nearest town to it which is listed.
2. Select an appropriate carrier from the list of those servicing that particular town, taking into account the frequency of service and location of their Sydney terminal (if available).
3. In the FREQUENCY column, days of the week are represented by their obvious abbreviations, and ‘Daily’ refers to each week-day (except Public Holidays). Closing times shown signify the latest time that freight will be accepted by that operator for despatch on the next scheduled service. Freight arriving after the specified time
(if given) may not be sent until the subsequent service.
4. In the TERMINAL column, the location of the terminal is shown by the Sydney suburb if applicable, or if the carrier has no terminal in Sydney, the country town or interstate city where that carrier is based. Direct Pick-up (DPU) means the carrier has no Sydney terminal, and will pick freight up at your address as required.
5. Refer to that carrier’s information as shown in the Operator’s List beginning after the First Divider Card, and contact either the Terminal or the operator direct for information regarding your freight requirements.
6. For information regarding operators who offer Specialised Services
(e.g. Air Freight, Furniture Removals, Taxi Trucks etc.), refer to the list contained on the Second or Third Divider Card in the directory.
