KLON hope to tour in the future when the world is ready for such things, starting with France, and then to their biggest goal: the US. Are they nervous to put their first EP out into the world? Not at all. As artists, they can’t wait to share their efforts and see what might blossom from there. “We’re really looking forward to showing the world what we are, because we are really proud of this project,” Akra concludes. “It really reflects all that we are at this particular moment.” As for a magazine headquartered not far from Santa Barbara, in this particular moment? KLON has our full attention.
KLON so refreshing and fun. They’re eager to advance ideas of gender fluidity, a modern punk ethos, and necessary artistic collectivism, but not in a way that strays too self-seri- ous. They’re silly and ironic, too, and instead of desiring to scramble the status quo—they’re out to appropri- ate it through groovy tunes, friend- ship, and self-confidence. The three words the band cares about and wants their audiences to focus on while listening to their music? Love,
freedom, and enjoyment. When asked about the process of making music with so many people, the band states that it aims to find a common ground. “We have to find what touches all of us,” Rory adds, “to meet at this point in between.”
