the Babylonians would be saved. He was cast into prison.
The siege continued for two years. Finally a breach was made in the walls and the city was taken. Sede cias ed, but the enemy pursued and captured him. He and his children were brought to Nabuchodonosor. His children were put to death before his eyes. After his own eyes had been put out, he was taken captive to Babylon.
