Cooking Odor Eliminator
Simmer equal parts white vinegar and water with a few cloves, bay leaves or lemon zest to get rid of cooking odors .
Cleaner for burnt pots and pans
• 2 tbsp (30 ml) each baking soda and white vinegar
Immediately after cooking, add vinegar and salt and let soak . If bottom is still burnt, boil water with 2 tbsp (30 ml) baking soda and vinegar in pot or pan for 10 minutes .
Pot and Pan Cleaner • Pure white vinegar
Soak pot or pan overnight with water and
vinegar .
Coffee and Tea Stain Remover for Porcelain
• White vinegar and salt paste
To remove stains, scrub spot with vinegar and salt paste . If stains are particularly stubborn, first soak china in a concentrated blend of baking soda and water and then scrub with paste .
Calcium Remover for Coffee Pots
• Coarse salt
• 2 cups (500 ml) white vinegar
Add three handfuls coarse salt to 2 cups vinegar in the coffee pot .
Shake well and let sit . Rinse with hot water .
All-Purpose Metal Polish
• Salt, flour and vinegar
Make a paste with salt, flour and vinegar . Use a cloth to gently polish metal with paste . Rinse with very hot water, then buff until shiny .
