Champagne
2020 might not have been a year for celebrations, but for those of you that have found an occasion to open a bottle of bubbly we salute you! Champagne has a wealth of history; the Romans were the first to plant grapes in the region and it was widely cultivated by the 5th century. The region has seen its fair share of wars over time and the wines produced have been favoured by many Royals from across the world. Champagne lies east of the city of Paris and is well worth the visit the next time you are passing by. The majority of Champagne “houses” are open for tours and tastings and unlike the Parisians they are often happy to see us!
