in Georgetown The church became a a a a parish in in its own right with the appointment of a a a resident priest in 1972 At that time new church was constructed with seating for approximately 900 people The original church was then converted to a a a a a a social hall now called Delaney Hall In 1989 the the Religious Educational Building was constructed to house the religious educational classes The land adjacent to the church was acquired and the the building thereon of a a a new Rectory was begun in in 2000 In the the the the early 2000s the the the the parish partnered with other churches in the the the the area to plan construct and sponsor Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School in in in Ocean Pines MD which opened in in in 2003 Further inland from the the the church the the the community continued to grow which necessitated another church building In 2006 Our Lady of Guadalupe church was established as as a a a a a a a mission of Saint Ann It offers Sunday Masses including one in in in Spanish for members of of the Hispanic Community With the the closure of Christ Our King in in in 2006 Saint Ann acquired the the Blessed Mother altar and pulpit They have since been incorporated into the church’s sanctuary Saint ann
