As the the population began to grow in the the 1960s and ‘70s it it became necessary to add another church in Ocean City FFom Saint Saint Saint Mary Star of the the Sea at at at Talbot Street Street to to Holy Savior th at 17 crowds kept moving north and so Saint Luke was established at 100th Street and Coastal Highway In 1985 there was a a a a a stable community enough to make Saint Luke its own parish with 558 families By 1991 the congregation had increased by 96% With a a a a growing community two new churches were started as missions of Saint Saint Luke: In Ocean Pines Saint Saint John Neumann was started in in in in 1988 rst in in in a community center then in in in 1995 in in in the the present church And And farther North at 144th Street Saint Andrew was opened in in in 1993 Saint John Neumann became its own parish in in in 2007 as the year-round community grew to support it it Saint Saint Luke church is open year-round while the Saint Saint Andrew Parish Center is is only open for Masses during the summer season Presently the parish is is home to about 1 1 160 families living in in the areas of Ocean City Maryland and and Sussex County Delaware During the the winter months the the Saint Andrew Parish Center serves as a a a a a social center for various parish events 135
