KCRPCA gathered beneath Union Sta- tion’s iconic clock, actually just a few steps to its south. There, dressed in their holiday  nest, members mingled about the upper section of the Harvey’s restau- rant, better known to long time KC resi- dents as Fred Harvey’s. With drinks and appetizers in hand, conversations  owed freely.

HTOLIDAY PARTY
Soon a scrumptious buffet was opened and guests moved through the line
and then to their dining tables. Once seated the splendor of the station was absorbed. Dressed in its Christmas attire of heavy green garland, lofty  r trees, lights dripping down from the main hall’s ceiling and alcoves bathed in glowing red spotlights, the specter of the 112 year old station played itself out above and below.
Before forks were raised, President Stan Thorne went table by table per- sonally thanking attendees and leading them in a champagne toast.
Much too soon, after a  ne meal and much conversation, members gradu- ally parted to go their separate ways. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to one and all. May visions of Caymans and Boxsters, Macans and 911s dance in your heads this holiday season.
