I just cleaned it up and put it back together, but something wasn’t right. The clues were not adding up.

Just for kicks, I pulled the passenger side pocket covers off. One side has the emergency first
aid kit, flashlight, signals, etc. (You do have such emergency equipment in your car, don’t you!). Seeing nothing suspicious here I decided
to inspect the other side. At first review, I found nothing out of the ordinary. The other side had jumper cables and....wait, what is this... you guessed it, a quart of oil.

THIS WAS WHERE THE FATAL WOUND WAS INFLICTED. A SMALL PUNCTURE WOUND, BUT IT WAS ENOUGH FOR THE QUART OF OIL TO BLEED OUT.

Turns out, there was a very small puncture to the oil container. This was a fatal wound. A small puncture wound, but it was enough for the quart of oil to bleed out. Who had done the dastardly deed? None other than the sharp end of a jumper cable clamp!
Mystery Solved!
I’ll put my deerstalker hunting cap and pipe away for now and prepare for the next mystery.

Very fun article, Bob. I think these are the best mysteries to solve. The
