 NUTS & BOLTS
TOOLS, TOOLS, TOOLS
NOT “SOMETIMES”, YOU “ALWAYS” NEED THE RIGHT TOOL FOR THE JOB
We talk a lot about repairing various parts of our cars in these bi-monthly articles (actually I yap a lot and you listen.... or flip to the next article and ignore me), but I tend to leave out the most crucial aspect of any job....Tools! And what guy doesn’t like to talk about tools (insert best Tim Allen grunt). Many times the difference between a job being incredibly frustrating and incredibly easy, is nothing more than the tool you are using. After years of wrenching on the weekends with friends, I keep getting the response to repair advice I would give as....”well I can’t do that like you can.” That always puzzled me as I’m not a rocket scientist by any means.....then I realized that they were trying to do a repair with their great grandpa’s worn out crescent wrench and a set of screwdrivers their mother won at a bake sale in 1956. on tools, so I thought I would throw out my 2 cents on putting together
a nice complement of tools for the home user. My box contains a mixture of everything from Snap On to Craftsman, to no-name stuff. For sake of argument, you can think of tools in three grade levels: Top (Snap
