FROM THE TOP WINDING DOWN THE YEAR AND MY TERM ARE OVER BUT THIS CLUB IS FOREVER PRESIDENT Agelon “T” Jones Wow, is it that time already? We’re winding down another season of enjoyment, camaraderie and, of course, Porsches. The year brought a new fragile awakening which affected every aspect of our very social club. Covid-19 immediately affected Autocross, Club Racing, Drivers Education (track), regional Social Activities, PCA Parade, Treffen, and Region Driving Tours, plus National concours and historic events. Yes, Covid-19 affected our club on many levels. Our events may have been canceled but our spirits remained strong. Like you, I’m excited to have Porsche Kansas City in the metropolitan area. Take time to visit the dealership; there’s always something exciting about that new car smell. Additionally, if you have the chance, go expand your horizons at the Porsche Experience Centers in Atlanta or Los Angeles. Plus, there’s always the opportunity to “break bread” every Saturday morning with many of your KCRPCA faithful. You never know what exciting events may result from a gathering of 40 Porschephiles after breakfast. I’m humbled to have been allowed the opportunity, as region President, to represent the Kansas City Region Porsche Club of America. I’ve owned sports cars in the past, but those club memberships failed in comparison to the level of camaraderie that comes from owning a Porsche. Plus, I’ve had the opportunity to observe and learn from several past presidents, each one with qualities that continually led our region to successful years as members of PCA National. To follow Ralph Light, Robert “Bob” Wayman, Tim Bubniak, and Stan Thorne, is an opportunity that I really appreciate. I feel confident the club will be in good hands with 09 8 Der Sportwagen YEARS
