the track. All monies are collected and then donated to Healing Pathways, most of which goes to their Christmas party. Every child in their system gets a Christ- mas gift.
At the Healing Pathways Christmas party, we gave out Hot Wheels cars, (Porsches of course) Thanks to Nicho- las Guerrero and the Quintana’s for hunt- ing down the cars. While most of us were busy with the kids, Mike Rehak snuck off to get a picture with the Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleaders and McKenna Thorne spent quality time with Olaf from the movie Frozen. The kids and club mem- bers all had a good
time.
The event wrapped up with Santa’s ar- rival just in time to pass out presents to all the kids.
Blessed. We are blessed. And it feels good to be there for a young-one that is in need of a some extra Christmas cheer.

Healing Pathways is a victim service agency that is dedicated to supporting children who have lost one or both par- ents due to domestic
violence. Let that sink in for a second. These are kids who have lost everything. Healing Pathways provides a number of services for these kids, like mak- ing sure they get a birthday cake on their birthday and Christ- mas presents when the holidays roll around.
For the last three
years, KCRPCA has
chosen Healing Path-
ways as our charity, and boy, is it worth it. To see the smiling kids’ faces at the Christmas party is amazing, but I’m get- ting ahead of myself.
The KCRPCA has two racing events each year, where we rent out Heartland Park Racetrack in Topeka, KS. The first one is April 27 + 28; it is a PCA Club Race and Advanced DE. The second in the fall is a full DE (Drivers Education).
