us to drive across it and then stop
on the way back where we captured some additional pictures. The wood planking makes it interesting to drive across. This is another must see for anyone.
After coming back over the bridge, we took a spirited drive through the countryside. A lot of twisties and beautiful scenery on both sides of the road, including cattle crossings. At times, you had to watch out as they were right on the side of the road. We had a great view of the back side of
Pikes Peak and enjoyed the view of the long line of Porsches in front of us and behind us.
I can’t provide enough compliments to our host region (Alpine Mountain Region) as the volunteers couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful and I was pleased to connect with
my air-cooled 993 on this long trip. Treffen gatherings are held in the spring and fall at very nice venues. We won’t make the one in the fall in Bend, OR, but are planning on a trip to the Barnsley Resort next spring in northern Georgia. Hope to see you there!
