New Age of Event Tents
Social and corporate tents to numerous cottages
entertaining have an added
level of excitement when done outdoors. Unfortunately, Mother Nature can be uncooperative at times. An event tent is a necessity for any outdoor celebration, but it’s also the opportunity to create an unforgettable piece of fabulous décor.
Next Level Tent makes it possible to set up customized tents in nearly any locale, decorated to fit any event.
In fact, the tent itself can be a wonderful addition to the décor of a home, cottage or even a beach.
“We recently set up 200-feet of tenting on a beach for a large wedding,” says Dennis Large, President of Next Level Tent and Event Limited. “It’s an amazing sight. We built it in an L-shape, so everyone could get a great view of the waterfront.”
Next Level Tent and Event Limited is a full-service tent rental firm which also provides semi-permanent custom-built
in Muskoka.
Brad Wadsworth, V.P.
of Sales and Marketing
for Next Level Tent and
Event, says tents are no
longer the big, white almost garish-looking structures
of yesteryear. They now
come in various hues and
tones – including greys and beiges – to match most outdoor environments and cottages.
And the old, cloudy sidewall flaps – which would be put
up or taken away during
events depending on weather conditions – are a thing of the past. Retractable enclosures can be neatly tied back and draped along external supports, providing an aesthetically appealing means of quickly closing up the tent. The company fabricates their own tents, which allows them to create custom designs for larger or smaller areas.
Using high-quality Sunbrella fabric, their tents feature stakes hidden behind powder-coated
aluminum covers. They’re available in six-foot-wide to 100-foot wide and expandable to most lengths. Clear wall panels allow tremendous views of the scenery even when they’re closed.
“All of our tents are fully clearspan, meaning there are
no interior support columns,
no external guide lines and all traditional vinyl wall systems are retractable,” says Brad. “The fabric roof and wall systems are all integrated into the frame design resulting in very tight installations, preventing walls and roof panels from blowing uncontrollably in high winds.”
Dennis and Brad founded Next Level after spending
over 30 years in the event industry. Their company
is responsible for the semi- permanent South End tented shelter at BMO Field – which takes the brunt of the weather from Lake Ontario – and has provided tents for other big events such as this year’s Toronto Indy.
“Our tents have proved their quality in the most adverse and high traffic situations,” says Dennis. “We’re a trusted name in the event and tent business, based on years of providing quality, reliability and service.” DS
