Dear Colleague,
PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
We are looking at the year ahead with a mixture of optimism, hope and confidence thanks to our great members. Although the pandemic presented us and many of our members with challenges, we all worked together and are working our way through.
So many of our members have been very supportive, grasping the role that TIA plays in their own success and a number went above and beyond the call of duty to help support their Association through this unusual time. Although the hotels for all our events (TIA Annual Convention, TIA Tech and TIA Europe) all closed during the dates on which our events were scheduled, we were still able to successfully deliver 2 out of 3 events “virtually” (TIA Tech and TIA Europe). We found some creative ways to cut expenses, monetize assets, and TIA’s staff members also made personal sacrifices to ensure its survival. To all those, we and our members are very grateful.
The pandemic did not change the fact that tortillas are still the fastest growing segment of the entire baking industry. In fact, tortilla sales overall grew faster!
Therefore, this directory remains your key to the fastest growing sector of the baking industry! In 2021 you can look forward to joining us at:
• TIA Annual Convention in San Antonio Texas at the beautiful Marriott Rivercenter directly on the Riverwalk
• TIA’s Hands-On Tortilla Production Training classes
• TIA Tech in the originally planned location of Hyatt Regency, Long Beach, California • TIA Europe in Belgrade Serbia at the Crowne Plaza Belgrade in Serbia
All of our events include activities for learning, doing business and networking between you and the leading players in our industry, so you can build relationships that facilitate and accelerate your success. Check the TIA Website and Newsletter regularly for updates, details and links.
