“Nice to see you,” said a huge, hairy spider.
Wee opened his eyes and gulped.
“Are you brave enough to find a key?”
“Pardon?” squeaked Wee. He was breathing so hard, his ears were waggling.
“You can’t get out without the key,” grinned the horrible spider. “Pardon?” squeaked Wee.
“I’ll give you a clue; it’s hiding behind one of us. But if you try to touch us, WE’LL JUMP ON YOUR HEAD!”
“Are you brave enough to try, little Wee?” asked the spider.
“Um...” Wee touched the woolly hat on his head for comfort. “I suppose I’ll give it a go,” he squeaked.
Wee whispered the magic words he’d been taught: “Woolly hat, you are the best; make me brave on my quest.”
Slowly Wee moved his hands towards the horrible, hairy creature, closer and closer until he touched the spider...
