President’s Message
Greetings Sorors! I am humbled to serve as your Chapter Presi- dent for 2020-2022 biennium. My theme is a simple one with a pow- erful meaning “Sisterhood and Service Matters!” My focus will be on maintaining the Joy in our Sis- terhood, while continuing service to our communities virtually. The goal is to increase the bond be- tween us as sorors, always loving each other, respecting each other, while supporting each other no matter what! Sisterhood is about sharing dreams & achieving goals together. When we as sorors come together, we can move any agenda

Let’s congratulate our Arts & Let- ters committee for the success of our first “Virtual Literary Café” and inspiring us to support Red Carpet Events and Sistah to Sistah Book Club virtually. Let us cele- brate and support our Chapter Delta Authors

Sorors Sheila Jenkins, Cassie Levy, Silvia Tiller-Jackson, Simona Dunn, Chrysta Lloyd, Demetria Williams, Renecheia Robinson, Denise Boone, Aliyah Thomas, Mable Scott Austin, Lena Ellis, Evelyn Peters Dean, Diane Green- wood, LaShawn Porter, Kendra Waters and Stephanie Collins. We are the reigning “Chapter of the Year “in the Southwest Region, and this distinguished honor would not have been possible without the leadership of our Immediate Past President Soror Evelyn Pe- ters Dean! We salute you. Sorors, we are the leading Delta Chapter in the Nation on Fund raising for March of Dimes and St. Jude’s. So- rors Vanessa Adams and Evelyn Peters Dean are the top individ- ual fund raisers respectively. As I close, let me send birthday wishes to all November sorors celebrating in this month and ask all of you to STOP and thank GOD for all the many blessings we have received in this season of Thanksgiving!

Sorors, we are facing a crisis in our country and around the world like never before with racism, dead- ly diseases, injustices, inequality, economic downfalls, poverty, hun- ger, government accountability and corruption. Let us pause and thank our social action committee who have been on the forefront with virtual candidates forum, voters registration, 2020 Census events and parade, Get out the Vote initiatives and distribution of VOTE yard signs. Never before will the outcome of the upcom- ing elections impact our nation
