the invisible house - peter stutchbury architecture

architectural intent 14 16 15
the architectural intent of the house was to capture the australian landscape and its use of raw materials, the building is located in the blue mountains west
of sydney.
the building is built below the top of the hill and situated behind a row of trees, this is where the name of the invisible house name comes from, “invisible
house can be there or cannot... if the roof, with water, reflects the sky this building will never be found-until its discovered” (peter stutchbury, 2008)

the plans and perspectives were all created in sketch up with the internal perspective created in autocad after the internal section was cut and sent to auto- 3. bathroom 12. bedroom 2

the plans and the internal perspective were then trimmed and re-coloured in adobe photo shop and printed out. the landscaping aspects were then hand 7. kitchen 16. bathroom
drawn in with black technical pens and then hand coloured with copic markers to reflect the colours of the landscaping found at the site. 8. pantry 17. bedroom 4

the sketches were then scanned into adobe photo shop, cleaned up and habitation added in in-design to provide scale to the perspectives.
the intent of the presentation is to portray the architects vision of creating a house that sits in the landscaping rather than sitting on top, by providing vistas
of the landscape from each room with in the house.
