STRATEGIC PLAN
Strategically Building
on Our Deep-Rooted History of Impacting Lives
Last year we launched our Strategic Plan (2023-2026) with six strategic priorities: Advance Leadership Development, Grow Philanthropy, Elevate Membership Experience, Prepare Youth For Success, Fill Critical Community Voids and Enhance Our Family Centers.
These priorities are rooted in community
and remain central to everything we do. We successfully launched two licensed preschools at the Central City YMCA and YMCA Camp Sierra. Both Y locations offer comprehensive programming promoting children’s social, emotional, and physical well-being. These new preschools are led by certified and experienced childcare staff to ensure the highest quality
of care/education with an evidence-based curriculum helping children thrive.
The opportunity to thrive is the reason for our newly launched Thrivers Club, which is a cancer survivor program for kids ages 6-17. The 12-week free initiative currently offered at three YMCA locations for members and non-members is a fun and dynamic physical fitness program focused on improving strength and endurance and decreasing fatigue caused by cancer treatment.
In addition, we are focusing on our military veterans – another Tampa Y priority. The free program, regardless of membership, supports active military and veteran families and provides tools for stress management, wellness and a sense of community.
Building Community – Together.
