MESSAGE FROM OUR CEO AND BOARD CHAIR
DEAR FRIENDS,
As we reflect on a year of recovery and growth, we have reaffirmed what an integral part of the community the YMCA of the Suncoast is to those we serve.
With programs that respond to the critical and unique needs of each community, we positively impact the lives of children, adults, families and seniors throughout Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando and Citrus Counties. For the past 66 years, the Y has provided a safe, welcoming place for all - regardless of age, income or background - to live their healthiest, happiest lives.
While we are the communities’ home
for programs that promote healthy living, we also provide life-saving
swim lessons, quality before and after school care, family engagement events, social activities for seniors and sports programs for members of all ages. The Y’s programs and initiatives elevate our mission to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. This annual report captures how the YMCA of the Suncoast strengthened our community in 2022, focusing on these top strategic priorities:
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT: Family Engagement, Academic Success, Teens, Underserved, Youth Sports
HEALTHY LIVING: Healthy Eating, Chronic Disease Prevention, Reclaiming Health, Older Adults, Mental Well-Being
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: Water Safety, Child Protection, Philanthropy, Volunteerism
We could not continue to make the impact we do year after year without the support of our dedicated community members. Our sincere gratitude to the YMCA of the Suncoast Board, Branch Advisory Councils, volunteers, donors, community partners and staff for their dedication and continuous support of our commitment to improving the lives of those we serve. Together, we are strengthening the community!
With appreciation,
Kimberly Briggs
