 2021 IMPACT SNAPSHOT
15,542 young athletes learned teamwork & stayed active in youth sports. Through these programs, young athletes build values, self- confidence, respect and teamwork.
13,960 children learned to swim and
be safe around water, which is critical considering more children under the age of four drown in Florida than anywhere else in the nation. The Tampa Y is committed to do what it takes to ensure not one more child drowns in Tampa Bay.
26,349 kids received educational support through early learning, after school, child care & summer camp. By offering programs that provide kids and teens with the tools they need to succeed in school and life, the Tampa Y nurtures the potential of Tampa- area youth.
       OUR MISSION IN ACTION
Jedediah started his journey with the Y through summer camp and swim lessons. Jed was able to go from a slight discomfort in the water to passing his swim test in two weeks. His mother then enrolled him in the basketball clinic and he gained a sense of self and community. The Y gave him a place to belong.
