SUPPORTABILITY
THAT CONTINUES TO GIVE BACK
At the Tampa Y, we believe lasting personal and social change is best accomplished when we all work together to invest in our kids, our health and our neighbors.
We work with our members, board members, volunteers, community partners and local governments to create lasting change that positively impacts the Tampa Bay community.
Through the development of community partnerships, we are able to reach deep into the

Tampa Bay community with programs supporting healthy living, youth development and social issues. The partnerships created with community leaders allow us to offer support to additional community members and other non-profits, furthering our mission of strengthening communities.
1,619 kids learned life-saving skills at more than 30 Ys in Tampa Bay through Safety Around Water.
436 children received mobile swim lessons through a Tampa Y partnership with the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County. The “Be Water Smart from the Start” initiative provides free water safety lessons to kids in their own apartment and neighborhood pools. Additionally in 2021, we provided free private swim lessons to 119 children with special needs throughout Hillsborough County
