We are excited to introduce
Christian Engle as the new
President and CEO of the YMCA of
the Suncoast. As he steps into this
vital role, Christian is poised to
lead our organization into a new
era of innovation and engagement,
ensuring that we continue to serve
as a cornerstone for community
impact to enhance the lives of
those we serve.
Dear Friends,
As we enter an exciting new chapter in our YMCA
journey, it is with deep gratitude and respect that
we look back on the remarkable achievements
of last year. Through strategic decisions and
a steadfast commitment to our values, the
foundation we stand upon today is stronger than
ever, thanks to G. Scott Goyer, our former President
& CEO, who retired late last year after 44 years with
the YMCA, including 24 years at the YMCA of the
Suncoast. Scott’s legacy of keeping community first
in everything we do remains our guiding star.
As our Y enters a new phase of leadership, we
remain committed to the YMCA’s Christian mission,
principles and vision, which have guided us thus
far. The path forward is one of continuity, ensuring
the integrity of what has been established while
seizing upon new opportunities. We will continue to
be here to serve all of our community.
In 2024, we supported and guided 90,646
individuals across four counties, including youth,
teens, adults, senior citizens, cancer survivors,
individuals with chronic illnesses, at-risk youth,
and infants/toddlers, through their well-being
journeys in spirit, mind and body.
With our commitment to innovation and excellence
and our focus on integrity and teamwork, the
core values central to our culture will remain
our touchstones for growth. We are proud of
our accomplishments, but know this is only
the beginning. Together, we will build upon
this momentum, embracing the challenges and
opportunities that come with change.
The road ahead is filled with promise, and with your
help, we are ready to embrace it with all the energy,
passion, and resolve that has defined us—our
community.
