Our Story
Plaza Premium Lounge, the world’s largest independent airport lounge network was introduced in Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur in 1998. Its Founder and CEO Mr. Song Hoi-see identi ed this unique business concept after having struggled to work ef ciently in the airport while travelling on his own.
When Mr. Song ventured into his own business, he ew economy class without the airport lounge privileges he had previously enjoyed from a career in investment banking. Having spent a considerable amount of time at the airports, he found that the travel experience was somewhat incomplete.
He identi ed an opportunity in this segment and seized an opportune moment by opening and introducing a new concept of independent airport lounge, which provides seamless connectivity and comprehensive services.
Open to all travellers regardless of airline or class of travel, the service-oriented Plaza Premium Lounge concept was driven by a heartfelt desire “to do something for the majority”. Through his initiative and vision, Mr. Song revolutionised the perception that airport lounges should be reserved for premium travellers only.
Today, with more than 19 years of unrivalled experience offering premium airport services, Plaza Premium Group has become synonymous with best practice for airport value-added services. The Group’s services now encompass designing,
managing and operating both independent
lounges as well as lounge management for leading airlines and alliances; Aerotel – an airport transit hotel designed by travellers for travellers, provides convenient and comfortable airport accommodation; Allways – a seamless Meet & Greet Service to make the travel experience more enjoyable, from kerb to apron and from apron to kerb, and Airport Dining which offers top quality cuisine with a variety of F&B concepts.
Plaza Premium Group now operates in more than 150 locations in 36 international airports globally, and has over 4,000 employees.
