In Loving Memory of Sir Prince Ramsey...
Dr. Sir Prince Ramsey is a prominent Physician in Antigua/Barbuda. He is the individual winner (Laureate) of the 2018 United Nations Population Award.
According to the United Nations: "In recognition of his distinguished work and contribution to health care in Antigua/Barbuda and the Caribbean islands and for championing globally for more than three decades, people's health, including their right to a healthy reproductive life and to family planning; for his longstanding dedication and leadership in advocacy and health care services, especially family health care; for spearheading the understanding of the medical and social impacts of HIV/AIDS, including by encouraging and supporting community activism to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic; for his significant achievements in providing affected AIDS patients with all required antiretroviral medications before they were widely available, sometimes at his own cost; for volunteering his expertise and lecturing throughout the Caribbean region on HIV/AIDS to raise awareness and educate and guide others in the fight against the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
