Dr. Frank Knight losing his temper with Aggrey Irons during a Psychiatry lecture in the main medical lecture theatre UHWI. Aggrey was entertaining those of us who were near to him in this lecture. So we were laughing and having fun. Dr. Knight got very angry and blasted us to pieces. We were all frightened. Aggrey told me that he decided then that he would become a psychiatrist. Aggrey did psychiatry and became a well-known and respected psychiatrist in Jamaica.

Those of us who did not live on the campus would meet at the Central Cafeteria operated by “Chuckie,” at mid-day after morning classes. We would discuss our morning experiences over lunch. Of the subjects which we did, anatomy was the favorite. I can remember the loud discussions which we had during the period when we were dissecting the male genitalia, particularly the penis. We would laugh and enjoy ourselves so much that we were the envy of all other students in the “café.” My husband told me when we just met, that that was when he started admiring me, and was very impressed with how happy we were and tried his best to meet me as a result of those lunchtime sessions.
