ALI, Terry
Orthopaedics, Trinidad
After graduating from Mona, he subsequently qualified with an FRCS Edinburgh (1980), a DM Ortho (UWI). He worked from 1983-85 as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Cornwall Regional Hospital, Jamaica; and from 1985- 2014 at the POS General Hospital in Trinidad, and was a Senior Lecturer in Surgery, UWI.
He initiated the Post Graduate Surgical training in the UWI Programme, at St Augustine and is presently. Part time Lecturer, an Examiner in Orthopaedics at the undergraduate and post graduate levels, at the St Augustine Campus.
He served as Medical Officer to the West Indian Cricket team; the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Association and the TT Football Association. He was Founder of The TT Sports Medicine Association and the Caribbean Sports Medicine Association, has served as CMO of TT Olympic Committee and attended 6 Olympic Games, served as Vice Chairman TT Olympic Committee, and Chairman First Citizens Sports Foundation
He is a Lay Pastor of an Evangelical Church and involved in youth ministries. He sails competitively and plays golf for fun.
