Memory 1
Freshman week in Irvine Hall and being “RAGGED” followed soon after by The University “shutdown” with the Walter Rodney affair. The subsequent protest march in our red gowns and being “teargassed” close to Jamaica House and then “scrambling” to get back to the University.
Memory 2
Sports
Being Captain of UWI Senior Cup Cricket team and representing UWI Combined Campuses against India (1971), New Zealand (1972) and Australia (1973) in ODI’s at the Mona Bowl.
Being Captain of UWI Lawn Tennis team and reaching the finals of the Men’s Doubles with Compton Russell at the Jamaica National Indoors at the National Arena.
Going to the Boxing Heavy Weight Championship of the World between Joe Frazier and George Foreman at the National Stadium and seeing Foreman knock down Frazier 7 times in the first round.

“Haggrey Hirons” father giving him a “Blue Avenger” after 2nd MB, and “liming” around Kingston with Aggrey.

v CBONY (Council of Barbadian Organizations New York) Pride and Industry Award. For Selfless Dedication in Providing Health Care to the People of Barbados. New York, Nov, 1999.
v Sir James Carreras Award, Variety Clubs International- For contribution and commitment to the health and well-being of needy children. Barbados, April 2001.
v The Barbados Association of Medical Practitioners Award- In Recognition of Contribution to Cardiology in Barbados, May 2003.
v Barbados National Award- Gold Crown of Merit. November 30th 2008 for outstanding and distinguished service in the area of medicine.
v Caribbean Cardiac Society. The Caribbean Cardiac Society Honouree. 2009 - For outstanding and distinguished service in the area of cardiology in the Caribbean. July 2009.
v Barbados National Award. The Barbados Jubilee Honour on the 50th anniversary of the Independence of Barbados. Recognition in the area of Medicine. November 30th, 2016.
