Memory 1
During freshman’s week Ashton was made to climb a tree and sing “Yellow Bird up High in Banana Tree”. He never forgot that.
Memory 2
At the Student’s Union Calypso Contest he and Rohit Doon, his lifelong friend, accompanied Kestor Branford in “Betsy” – a cow was placed in a student’s room and did what cows do.
Memory 3
Organised a cadre of fellow students to man Taylor Hall Kitchen when the cooks went on strike.
