Lack of basic infrastructure such as sanitation, water supply and drainage channels. How to recommend slum inhabitants to frequently wash their hands when
water supply in the area is still scarce?
The latent/hidden vulnerability relates to the right to proper housing related to the status of the land to live in. In this case, unclear slums position in the spatial plan makes them vulnerable to gentrification and eviction.
Impact vulnerabilities are additional to this pandemic. Economic activity has experienced a massive shift, while many villagers depend on the informal sector with fluctuating incomes to support their daily needs.
These three vulnerabilities actually make slums very vulnerable in the COVID19 pandemic, especially vulnerabilities as impacted by the pandemic which is difficult to predict and is a sudden deadly big blow.
