WNO Opera Institute
at American University
June 22–July 12, 2020, for singers ages 15-18
WNO Opera Institute is a unique summer training program for high school singers from around the nation who are considering pursuing opera in college and as
a career. Each year, the Institute gives 30 students an opportunity to experience life as a college music major, through performances of opera scenes and art songs, university-level courses, private lessons and coachings, master classes, career development workshops, and more! Guest artists have included world-renowned singers Harolyn Blackwell, Denyce Graves, Richard Stilwell, Ron Raines, and Elizabeth Bishop.
The Kennedy Center welcomes all applicants.
