White Oak Elementary School
Nestled within the First Neighborhood Community in Westlake Village, White Oak Elementary is truly a neighborhood school. The only Las Virgenes school within the city, Westlake Village has forged a wonderful partnership to support White Oak students through technology and their “City to Schools” program, which introduces fourth grade students to learning about local government.
White Oak is very proud of their staff and teachers, celebrating a 100% teacher retention rate for the 2016-17 school year. Aristotle said “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts” and that certainly encapsulates White Oak Elementary. In addition to the unique forward thinking Social Communication program which recently received the California Golden Bell Award, White Oak has been recognized as a National Blue Ribbon and a California Gold Ribbon School by the California Department of Education.
White Oak teachers, aides, counselors and office staff are dedicated to the health and well- being of White Oak students and continually look for ways to celebrate student success both in and out of the classroom. Programs such as Character Counts, the Second Step Program and Principal’s Choice Awards make White Oak Elementary a very special place to learn.
