Fulfills High School Visual and Performing Arts or General Elective. This third/fourth year level Fine Arts class focuses on creating a two-dimensional Advanced Placement portfolio. Students create a "concentration," and make 12 pieces of art that relate to this personal artistic theme. These 12 pieces should all have the same style and look like a visually cohesive body of work. Advanced techniques such as figure drawing, oil paint, scratchboard, soft-pastel will be taught for 12

Fulfills High School Visual and Performing Arts or General Elective This third year level Visual Arts
class focuses on beginning the creation of a three-dimensional Advanced Placement portfolio. The portfolio must demonstrate a wide range of artwork that shows a “breadth” (wide range) of artistic styles, methods and materials. Also included in the curriculum is an in-depth exploration of a personal artistic theme known as a “concentration.” The three parts of the portfolio; breadth, concentration, and quality should demonstrate how to use the art elements and principles in an integrative way in creating 3-D artwork. The 3-D portfolio must demonstrate proficiency in a broad range of three dimensional designs executed in either sculptural or functional forms.
