and Son, though distinct, were equal, [or two distinct coequal Gods] and of the same substance. To settle the matter, Constantine called together an ecumenical, or worldwide, council of bishops at Nicaea, in Asia Minor, in 325. He himself ran the meeting. An overwhelming majority condemned the Arian view as heresy. The Council drew up the (Trinitarian) Nicene Creed, which is still accepted as the basic doctrine of most Christian churches.
Constantine next moved his seat of government from Rome to the East. For his capital he chose the ancient Greek city of Byzantium on the Bosporus. He enlarged and enriched the city at enormous expense. In 330 it was dedicated as New Rome, but it was generally called Constantinople, "the city of Constantine." The Eastern Roman, or Byzantine, Empire, with its capital at Constantinople [now Istanbul] survived for more than 1,000 years. The new city also became the capital of [Catholic] Christianity in the East, while Rome dominated the religion in the West.
Constantine ruled as a despot, surrounded by Oriental pomp. He admitted [Catholic Platonic] bishops to his council, and his laws concerning the treatment of slaves and prisoners show the influence of Christian teachings. However, he put to death his oldest son, Crispus, and his second wife, Fausta. Before his death he divided the empire among his three remaining sons.”
The People that History Forgot written by Professor and Archaeologist Ernest L. Martin, 1993, pages 159 and 161-162 states: “Indeed, there was nothing inferior about these eastern [Pagan Syro-Pheoenician, Hittite, Egyptian, Persian and Babylonian] religions and philosophical beliefs nor the people who brought them to the west. [Rome] They were the very teachings that Constantine and his followers adopted. True, they changed their names and the doctrines which they advocated into names that were derived from the New Testament. In effect, the later emperors retained Pagan idolatrous worship which had come from ancient Babylon and began to call it the religion of Christianity.” (This includes the ancient Pagan Triad or Trinity teaching.)
The arguments for the Trinity are as flawed as the man-made theory that they seek to support. The Allegorical Method of interpreting the Scriptures invented by Origen is a twisting and perverting of the Scriptures to have a new meaning not intended by God or the inspired authors. Syncretism the mixing of Christian and Pagan Platonic theologies is a Gnostic mess. The Bible cannot be interpreted through a Pagan filter and still have a correct meaning. Irrational metaphysics and demonically inspired Pagan Mythologies are altogether absurd, perverted, contradictory, and will not lead one to rational Biblical truths. We even see that Trinitarian scholars admit that their theology and godhead views are influenced greatly by Pagan Platonic teachings. The corrupt warped Philosophy of the heathen polytheist is their foundation and not the actual Word of God! (Read Colossians 2:8-9 Ephesians 4:5-6 and 14-15 and Galatians 1:8-9.)
