A wake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead" He is a unique second Adant. He came to complete the earthly Adam's nature, (Colossians 2:10), but He Himself never needs to be completed (Mark 9:2-8; Luke 9:28-32; Acts 1:11; Hebrews 13:8; I John 3:1-3).
B It was an Actual Resurrection
The theory that Jesus did not actually die, but that He merely fell into a swoon from which the cool air of the tomb and the spices revived Him, is a grossperversionofthetruthofscripture. ThatChristactuallydiedisevi dent from the facts that the centurion and the soldiers declared Him to be dead (Mark 15:45; John 19:33); the women came with the expectation of anointing a dead body (Mark 16:1); blood and water flowed from His open side (John 19:34); the disciples assumed He was dead, but when they saw His resurrection, it greatly surprised them (Matthew 28:1-9; Luke 24:37; John 20:3-9); and He did not appear to His disciples on the third day in a weak enedcondition, butasamightyconquerorofdeath. ChristHimselfdeclared that He was dead, but now is alive forevermore (Revelation 1:18).
The theory that Jesus died a second time in hell when His spirit and soul was in terrible punishment for three days is totally unsciiptural and a blasphemous theory (Colossians 1:22; Hebrews 9:26-28; 10:12-29; I Peter 3:18;Luke24:5;IJohn1:1-3;Revelation1:17,18;Ephesians4:10). C The Same Body Resurrected
Some who claim to believe in the resurrection of Christ refuse to admit thatitwasabodilyresurrection. TheyexplainHisdeathandresurrectionas being merely two sides of one experience: in Hitf death He passed out of His physicallife, andinHisresurrectionHepassedintoHisspirituallife. Thus, His death and resurrection are declared simultaneous events. The appear ances of Christ are explained as those ofHis spirit or as mere subjective hal lucinations.
The Bible proves that Christ arose bodily with no change in nature or appearance (Isaiah 26:19). Jesus declared after His resurrection, "Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet" (Luke 24:39-40). The women who met
