Preface
I believethissimplyconstructedapproachtoBiblewriters'theologywill create a deep and lasting impression upon all Bible students. The book is built upon the solid foundation of the Bible writers' faith and
teaching. Itwillbringtoyouarationalinsightandprofoundunderstandingof the original doctrine of the Bible, with the structural basis for a consistentand thorough ongoing presentation of biblical knowledge.
The writer of this book recognizes that the Bible is the only record of the imfolding revelation of God, progressive in human nature, and culminating in therevelationofGod,throughtheWordthatbecameflesh. Thesubjectsofthis book will challenge all readers and Bible teachers, and will stimulate them to concentrate their energies and thoughts on the discipline of this book.
This divine revelation and the basic approach to the discipline of Bible writ ers' theology will serve as a general guide to the readers' and teachers' think ing. Most of all, the reader should know without any reservation, that the Bible and the Bible writers' claim for its origin and nature are true and eternal. Because of this conviction, 1have endeavored to present the unfolding ofGod's revelation as the Bible and its writers represent it.
In writing this book, I have sought to prepare it to be sufficient and compre hensible for the casual student, seminary students and graduates. This book is committed to the Bible's claim in accordance with Paul's declaration, "All scrip ture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine..." (11 Timothy 3:16).
One who is committed to the belief that the Bible is the infallible record of God's revelation, given through divine inspiration, should accept in all honest, whatever truth is contributed regardless of its source. 1believe ministers who have not had the opportunity of securing more advanced Bible writers' titeolo- gy, and others who are devoting themselves to serious Bible study, would also be able to use this inspired book with profit.
1would like to say thank you to Brother Ayele Lakew, Brother Degu Kebede, and my wife Sister Mary who worked hard day and night with me to bring this book into its present state. Deep appreciation and thanks to Brother James Burris for giving his time in editing. My special appreciation to Brother Willoughby for his layout and financial help in printing this book. May God richly bless you Sister Sandra for spending countlesshours correcting and elim inating errors.
According to John 1:1-14; 1 Timothy 3:16, this work is self- revelation of only God, manifested in the flesh. 1alone take full responsibility of any error in the book. My prayer and my deep desire is that its message is a blessingto millions.
