Unseen Hands
Fifteen of them followed Tekle and Erkenesh to their hotel room. "Pray for us; we want the Holy Ghost," they entreated.
Several of them had received their desire when the hotel owner beat on the door. "Stop making this awful noise!" he yelled.
They moved the prayer meeting to a nearby forest and prayed until every student was mightily filled with the Spirit.
Tekle and Erkenesh committed the new believers to the Lord who knows how to keep and direct babes in Christ, and they went on to Yirga-Alem. At Negele they had met Mrs. Sunyiva, a Norwegian missionary and psychologist who lived in Yirga-Alem. Though she re jected the apostolic message, she entertained the travelers kindly in her home for two days. Tekle preached fervently, but they saw no results. After they left eighty high school students responded belatedly to the message, began to seek God, received the Holy Ghost, and were baptized later.
"Youwill not believewhat happened!" Tekle's mother rejoiced, when they reached Awasa again. "Just after you left for Negele, a man came from Harar looking for you— you know that is eight hundred kilometers from here. He would not tell us his name, and we did not tell him of our need; he brought us 220 pounds of teff and gave me for ty birr for the household."
"God sent an angel to supply yoim needs!" Tekle and Erkenesh agreed. Passing years have strengthened that conviction, for that man has not been seen since.
A message from the bank sent Tekle to inquire. He found that Sister Sophia Asfaw had sent him 250 birr.
