With that message, the Lord anointed the ladies to point out that God desires unity among his children and that Satan is the author of division. The board members finally agreed, without enthusiasm, to a reconciliation meeting to be held at the home of Mother Salome.
The Lord gave Tekle Micah 6:7-8, making him under stand that whatever the brothers said his answers must be humble. The meeting began with a flat accusation: "Tekle, you are a heretic; you teach falsely."
"If I have taught wrongly, please forgive me," Tekle answered gently. "I promise to adhere exactly to the teaching of the United Pentecostal Church from now on."
Tekle did not know what the board members planned to do. The church had to have a strong leader, and they wanted to eliminate Tekle as a possible leader. They went down the line, making accusations point by point, and Tekle answered each one with the same words. He neither raised his voice nor became impatient with their insistent needling. His humility impressed believers from both groups and they all agreed that the two works should become one. However, Amare rented a room in Workie's house for meetings without recognizingTekle as a fellow minister.
Brother Harris came to help elect a leader for the church, and he appointed a committee to supervise the election: Brothers Teshome and Bekele and himself. The voting began with a secret ballot. When Brother Harris saw extra votes from people who had never been members
