The believers melted together in worship of Jesus, who gives victory to His church regardless of the cir cumstances. Sister Tenney, Sister Bobbye Wendell, Brother and Sister John Harris and Brother Freeman came to share in the exuberant celebration.
The Lord graciously restored the saints whofell away in 1975, and revival spread from Addis to adjacent suburbs and towns. At Debre-Zeit, a young man who was grotesquely disfigured by cancer that covered most of his body received a healing touch from the Great Physician, who not only healed and saved him but also restored him to a pleasing appearance. Two insane people, a woman with breast cancer, a girl with devastating asthma, a young woman dying with tuberculosis, and numbers of demon-possessed people received healing, restoration, and the gift of life. The list goes on and on, because the power of Jesus is unlimited.
I came to Addis again for a visit in 1983. It had been seven years since I had had that privilege. AsTekle gave Brother Freeman the annual progress reports in the par sonage, I heard sweet singing from the nearby church and could hardly wait to get there. Finally, Tekle closed the colossal books containing the most detailed records I have ever seen.
"Let's go to church," he invited.
A n unprecedented force flowed over us as we walked approximately fifty yards to the side entrance of the packed edifice. I turned to my husband and asked, "Do you feel something?"
